Partrac’s marine geo consulting capability de-risks Offshore wind

Partrac's consultants provide data led insights into the seabed and quantify the risks associated with mobile sediments and metocean processes during marine installation and operations.

The last 12 months have seen the evolution and growth of Partrac’s geo consulting services, led by our Technical Director Dr Kevin Black and our team of modellers, geoscientists and oceanographers.

Combining expertise in marine GIS, data mining and literature review, coastal processes / EIA, and numerical and CFD modelling, the company has  delivered successfully on a range of local and national projects in the coastal and offshore marine environment. Partrac’s expertise has enabled clients to de-risk the potential for scour during landfall cable installation activities, to meet marine warranty expectations, to optimise and plan more effectively for offshore cable burial  and to address impacts on sensitive seabed areas of construction phase operations.

Currently the group is working with various agencies on a large scale project in Europe to improve the understanding of the dynamics of coastal mega sediment nourishments.
